Earth to Research
Work-in-progress: Podcast mini-series

Earth to Research is a podcast mini-series produced as part of the EU-funded RE4GREEN project, which develops an ethics and integrity framework for research and innovation in the face of climate and environmental challenges. Aimed at early-career researchers, postgraduates, and sustainability-minded audiences, the series explores how research practices can be reshaped to align with environmental justice, ethical responsibility, and sustainable innovation.
Through conversations with a diverse range of guests, and featuring sounds from emerging artists, the podcast touches on sustainable technology, life-cycle assessments, e-waste, slow AI, researcher positionality, eco-emotions, and transformative approaches to planetary health. Each episode blends practical strategies with reflective insights, encouraging listeners to integrate environmental justice into their work and communities.
All episodes, transcripts, and resources will be freely available, with time-coded transcripts. The project is being produced and recorded locally at a professional studio with dissemination from September 2025 and a projected audience of >1000 listeners. Earth to Research aims to inspire dialogue, foster ethical practice, and contribute to systemic change in how research responds to the ecological crisis.
